Book A Class
Book a pottery class with Zara on our booking system at the bottom of the page. Before booking, please take a read of each class description so you can know what to expect and some of the rules of the studio.
Pottery Painting (Strictly Ages 6+)
Each booking includes one piece of pottery to decorate from our curated seasonal range. Our stock changes throughout the year, so you’ll always find something fresh and inspiring to paint on each visit. We have a selection of functional and decorative pieces to pick from.
You’ll have access to a wide variety of beautiful colours and plenty of decorating techniques to experiment with. Feeling bold? Try bubble glazing or a splatter finish for a fun. Prefer something more detailed and structured? Our clever magic pencils allow you to sketch out your design first before they disappear during firing, leaving only your finished masterpiece behind.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or a confident creative, our class is relaxed, welcoming and perfect for all skill levels.
We also offer complimentary tea and coffee during your visit, along with a selection of delicious homemade bakes for you to enjoy while you paint. You’re very welcome to bring along your own drinks and snacks too, if you prefer.
This class is restricted to guests aged 6 years and over. All materials required will be provided and all pottery can be collected from the studio two weeks later or posted out to one member of your group.
Have A Go (Strictly Ages 12+)
Our “Have a Go” pottery experience takes place over two visits, giving you the full hands-on journey from creating to decorating your own ceramics.
During your first visit, you will learn to throw on the potter’s wheel and create four small vessels — typically a mug, jug, bowl, and dish. The exact pieces may vary slightly depending on your individual skill level and progress on the day. All materials and equipment are fully provided, so you can simply arrive ready to get creative.
Once your pieces have been fired, your booking includes the opportunity to return for one of our pottery painting mornings to decorate your finished work at no additional cost. This second session can be arranged directly with Zara after you have attended your initial class.
Please note: this session is suitable for ages 12 and over. Long hair should be tied back, and very long nails may make it difficult to work effectively on the wheel.
We look forward to welcoming you to the studio for this fun and rewarding experience!”
